Guys I need better brakes, after having a very scary one on sunday , defo need uprated brakes on my car. I want to keep standard 5 x 12's on my car so any advice as to the best way forward would be much appreciated, not got a bottomless pit of money but prepared to spend a reasonable amount cause I was a scared little boy. Getting some new disks, even if you only get standard ones they will increase the breaking no end! unless they're good already of course! I've got drilled disks on one of my cars, they do feel better than standard 8.4s and they're only 7.5s... so that must be good! ha Can't recommend Mintex pads and shoes highly enough, they're the only things I use now. I don't think the whole 4-pot "craze" is any good, my dad's van has them, and if anything, they feel worse than standard callipers. Then you get down the the human things, checking the callipers are working efficiently, pads are sliding smoothly (greese ect) and that your rear drums are adjusted properly, my breaking power increased loads just by making my rear shoes work properly! so yeah... erm.... whip the wheel off? lol Ryan ;D
