you could do what ive done and just always have the valve open. do you know where the valve thingy is to have it open? its kinds straight up from the theremostat. kinda on a plungery thing. probably makes no sense though if u dont know what i mean lol

Under the bonnet there is a cable from the dash as shown along the front of my engine. This cable should be connected to a water valve where the left arrow shows. If the cable isn't connected then either the valve has been removed and piped straight through or if it is still there you should be able to operate it yourself from under the bonnet. Try it both ways ie fully open then fully closed. This way you should get hot air from the heater.

Clip the wire onto the bit that looks like a tap. You probably won't be able to get rid of it as you don't have a bypass hose..... Then your heater should be warm ;D

the one that isnt the choke is the heater! out is hot, on mine i need to wait til the car has got up to temperature then turn on the heater, otherwise it just blows cold, on my old mini it never really blew hot, not even warm, had to drive for ages til it got warm... lol, just wear gloves...! lol

And you also need to check your Elephants Trunk! Make sure all air hoses are connected and that your flaps are in the right direction

Elephants trunk is the big diameter pipework that looks like ...er... And check that the hoses are going to and from your heater.
Also Check your thermostat. This could be it. If it is not opening you will not get the release of warm water from the engine into the heater matrix. Thermostats are appx £4 and even Halfords should stock them, though Express Factors on Richmond Road (near the cop shop) Halifax are the best bet.

The wire might not pull because the tap might me stuck? Try moving it under the bonnet with your hand.
