Im getting on with the Mk1 restoration project nicely; totally stripped minus the engine, some bits already replaced, many parts are coming in, hundreds spent, its all happening nice and lovely Theres a few things i need abit of help from mini minded folk like yourselves! I managed to get a period rev counter/tachometer, simply because i liked the idea of it... except i have no idea how to fit it lol. I got it with a plastic pipe which seems to fit onto a sticky out thing on the back... and theres another smaller sticky out thing, and also 2 wires... I know, i'll take photos! Right. Anybody know how to fit it to my mk1 lol Theres a few bits im looking for, one of which is a decent condition rear deluxe bumper with overiders and corner bars. I dont want to buy a new one because it wouldnt go with the rustic look of the front one! Any help or advice would be thanked very muchly Cheers guys

as it turns out, no i dont, and dont have the camera handy to take one (a friend borrowed it)
However, as a guideline from the top image, the lower central word in the guage is Electronique, in the far left corner (if there is such thing on a circle lol) is numbers T3 24423 02, and far right is 304933 01... Made in france which is a worry... but im not sure wether anything i just said could help haha

right been chatting to a few people and this is what we've come up with:
One is +ve, 1 is -ve & the third one is a trigger wire that goes to the CB side of the coil, this is between the coil & the distributor.
As to which is which though, its anyone's guess.
The -ve or earth may be easiest to identify, it may be bonded to the case, the other two are almost impossible to identify from the image, but I would suspect that the one near the sticker is the trigger wire & the one with the purple wire attached is +ve. These are just however gut instinct guesses.
You can try it by very quickly connecting it incorrectly, but don't leave it connected wrong for more than a second or two or it will almost certainly go pop.
Good luck!
