Yesterday: 19th well today i did some welding! yey! i went to a local steel place and bought some off cuts of box section for a tenner! they only just fitted in the bean! lol one cut in half was good for both sides... fairly pleased with my welds seeing as this was the first time on a Gasless MIG... then i welded one across the back then the welder kept blowing the fuse for the garage... i got mad at having to go into the ouse and keep flicking it on, so i gave up... gonna have to wait til my dad is back off holiday so he can sort it out... tisk.... got a rev counter too! Ed Today! 20th had some fun today! finished welding my bracing in, all nice and strong, so over he went! then i set about taking off the rear subframe ta daa! looks like ill be needing heal board corners, and each side of the boot floor, the middle where the wheel well is is fine, just i guess where all the water from the wheels and mud has collected each sude by the wheel arches.... never mind eh!? i can get cracking once i have the healboard parts! YEY! the engine and other parts came back from the engineers a while ago and my dad has started painting the block and other bits in good old BMC green: here are some pics of the lightened and balanced bits: flywheel conrods: diophram: crank: and my dad has also built up the hubs with the calipers and discs with new ball joints and CV ends: look out for more happening over the hols!
